# How can I upgrade my account?

Upgrade when you need more minutes or features from a higher plan. Compare the plans in [Plans and minutes explained](https://help.rask.ai/hc/explaining-free-trial-subscription-plans-and-minutes-rask-help-center?hsLang=en).

### How to upgrade your plan

1. Go to your [Rask account settings](https://app.rask.ai/account) and click **Change Plan**.

2. Choose the plan you want and click **Upgrade**.

3. Review the differences between your current and new plan, then click **Upgrade Now**.

4. The checkout screen shows the amount due.

5. Click **Upgrade Now** to complete the upgrade.

### What happens to my minutes when I upgrade?

The upgrade takes effect immediately, and the new features unlock right away. You get the extra minutes of the new plan in proportion to the days left in your current billing period, and you pay the prorated difference in price. Your existing minutes stay on your balance.

### Need one feature, not a whole new plan?

If you only need SRT upload and download, Translation Prompting or extra Teamspace seats, you can add them to your current plan with [Boosters](https://help.rask.ai/hc/introducing-boosters?hsLang=en). On Creator Pro and Business you can also buy extra minutes at $3 each without changing your plan.

### How to downgrade?
