# September 22, 2026 - Faster Editing: Undo, Keyboard Shortcuts and Playback Speed

## Undo, keyboard shortcuts, playback speed and two merge modes help you polish translations in fewer steps.

### **Undo and Redo**

You can now step back through text edits and segment changes and bring them back whenever you need them.

### **Keyboard shortcuts**

Play, pause, search and work with segments right from your keyboard. Open "Help" → "Keyboard shortcuts" to see the full list.

### **Playback speed**

Listen at 0.75× for careful review, or speed up to 1.25×, 1.5× or 2× for a quick pass. The speed applies to the editor preview, and your exported video keeps its original timing.

### **Word highlighting**

Words now light up as they are spoken, so you can follow the audio and spot mismatches between speech and text at a glance.

### **Two ways to merge segments**

When a sentence is split across segments, you can now choose how to join it. "Merge" combines the segments and keeps your edited translation. "Merge and re-translate" combines them and translates the full sentence again, which helps when the parts read better as one thought.
